We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will prepare HVAC and/or plumbing construction drawings, details, and schedules.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THE JOB:

• Design of building HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret HVAC and/or plumbing plans and specs.
• Provide information to our estimators relative to the bid packages.
• Interacts with customers in order to understand their building usage and internal processes in order to build a system that meets their needs.
• Documentation of systems design in Revit.
• Engineering analysis work, including load calculations, equipment, pipe/duct sizing, etc.
• Building BIM/3D models and coordination of the models with both internal and external team members.
• Must be self-directed, highly motivated, and organized with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 4 or more years of experience in the commercial construction engineering field, preferably in the HVAC and/or plumbing fields.
• Knowledge of local industry codes.
• Experience with BIM process, including software, document exchange and project coordination.
• Experience with Revit.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems is preferred.
• Excellent project management, interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to operate efficiently both independently and as part of a team with minimal direction from manager.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer knowledge including experience with AutoCad and MS Office suite is required.
